BRUSSELS, March 9 (Reuters) - Belgium raised 4 billion euros ($5.44 billion) from its new 5-year benchmark bond at mid-swaps plus 8 basis points, Thomson Reuters service IFR reported on Tuesday. The March 2016 bond, with a coupon of 2.75 percent, was priced at 99.84, IFR said. Belgium had initially been aiming to raise 5 billion euros from the issue. ($1=.7350 Euro)
